Don and Ann's Pups

Elizabeth, Vito's daughter had a litter of 12 Silver Puppies!   This group is every bit as silver as our last group and there are a lot more.  That night when we went to bed, there were 10 pups.  When we got up that  morning there were 2 more.  This is the largest litter of Weimar puppies we have seen.  Undoubtedly there is some larger one someplace but 12 pups is a lot.  They are all just perfect and healthy little hamsters. These are some seriously silver pups.  Happily they have all found wonderful homes, all over the country and we are awaiting our next litter.

Baths definitely do not make Weimaraners very happy, but they sure are cleaner!

This is the last pup.  He looks worried because he is on his way to a bath (see above)  On the left is his mother Elizabeth who is interested in getting somebody to throw the ball down the side of the canyon for her to retrieve. (If she cannot get anyone to cooperate, she will throw it herself). The girl is Ann,  she is also the bath giver and puppy lover.  The question is why does this puppy need such big feet??!  (Hint: Because he is going to grow up to be a big dog)

This is a very sincere pup.  Here he is after the bath, a much cleaner and much more silver pup!  Ann will not put him down until he is completely dry or he will find some dirt and make mud.

THE STORY OF THE LITTER

This picture below is of one tired Momma.  She was working on getting those pups out all night long.   Although, this morning when she came out for air, she chased the Frisbee for a little while for some recreation then back to her pups.

This picture is kind of unusual.  As you can see, Elizabeth has not gotten cleaned up after giving birth, a messy experience for any species. But look how she loves and protects her pups. The momma lioness with her cubs.  She has all twelve of them bundled in together making sure they are warm and safe.

Weimaraner puppies and kids. Kids and Weimaraner puppies! This is Ben, age 4 and Erica, age 1 and Ann.   Part of Ben's responsibility is to sweep out the puppy nest every morning and to make sure their water bowls are always filled with clean fresh water.  When it is feeding time, Ben's job is to fill the food dish for the pups and to keep Elizabeth and Ginger and Erica out of the puppy food while the pups eat.  The pups eat Eucanuba puppy food (in great quantities)  which Ginger and Elizabeth seem to like even better than their own adult dog food.

This Elizabeth and the pups after 2 days.  She is back to her shiny self, and already they are crawling all over her.  She looks way less than pleased.  This only gets worse.

What can I say?  That is a pup that lives for love.

This is the hairy group at about 3 weeks, beginning to eat their first food other than mom.  It seems like they all have caught on to the idea pretty well. They are all members of the "Clean the Plate Club"  There is one pup that is at 3 o'clock that is much more silver than the rest... that is this last pup we have left.

This pup saw Liz and Ginger playing Frisbee and immediately decided it was something very important.  He is ready to play.

This is Ben with a 5 week old pup.  At this age they are really started doing things, like going anywhere they can get to.  (Both the kid and the pup)

This was one little escapee.

This one has wanted to try athletics.

This is a little stalker, the cow hoof in question is at the bottom of the picture. The pup found it eventually.

These were the  last two girls we had left.  You will notice the one the one on the right is about to pounce on the one on the left who has been distracted by our taking the picture. The both have found wonderful new homes, one in Los Angeles and the other in Atlanta, Georgia.

This sincere little guy has found home with a wonderful family from New York.    The picture does not do his "silverness" justice. That is not a puppy toy he has, it is Ben's shoe that he set down outside the door as he went in the house, less than a minute ago!  This is not only a lover, he is very sincere (he is sincerely enjoying chewing up Ben's shoe).

We have lots more pictures but due to web loading time considerations, (this site already takes too long to load...the experts say the pictures are too big..., oh, well.  We will have to put some more on and take some off as time goes on.

If You Are Interested in Being Owned by a Weimaraner....

If you have given the idea a great deal of thought and still think you might like to be owned by a Weimaraner, we only have one boy left in this litter and he is looking for a family love.  If a trip to San Diego (see puppy shipping policy below)  to be picked out by a pup and being qualified by Ann as a Weimar owner are  not insurmountable, please call us at 619-275-5151.  If you are the right person, we would love for you to have one of our pups to love.

Our Puppy Shipping Policy

If you are interested in having a puppy shipped to you, you would have to convince Ann, whose picture is below. Ann is kind of the Mary Poppins of the Weimaraners and she would never consider shipping a puppy.  Since there is absolutely no chance that she would box and ship one of her babies to someone she has not met, personally, please do not ask.   Thanks,  Don.
